MY CHARACTERIZATION OF LOVE

LOVE- a word of just 4 letters and numerous meanings. almost everyone has some point of view on love. most people connect it with a guy or a girl. but is that what love is confined to? what about the feelings we have for our parents and friends?
a special boy or girl plays a significant role in life, that is also love but love is not bounded by lovers only. recently one of my friends attempted suicide. when i heard of it, my first question, rather assertion was "its a girl. right?" and then tears filled his eyes. just because somebody didn't understand his feelings, he thought of ending his life. this made me think, if we can love some guy or girl to such an extend, whom we have known for such a small amount of time, why cant we love our family and friends to that very extent? we can die for someone we have known for a year, but we cant live for our family which took numerous pains and made sacrifices to raise us?
there was a time when people understood their responsibilities and faced their challenges in life, but we, the younger generation, we want everything fast.... fast life, fast money, fast internet and fast love,  if we don't get what we want, either we protest or we seek the easy way out : suicide. it is time that we think practically and behave sensibly and about people who live for us. when one person dies [read commits suicide] many people linked to him/her die too [though not literally]. all we need to do is broaden our views on love. the only two people who will love us no matter what we become are PARENTS. no one will love you as unconditionally as them. for every person who doesn't understand your feelings, there are ten people who love you just the way you are. live for the people who love you and life will be worth living for.
the most important fact we must remember is that for every person in this world, there is a special person, sometimes we are too occupied in searching for him/her that we cannot identify that he/she was beside us all the time. all our wishes don't come true but if we think sensibly, we will realize that the decision taken by the Almighty is always for the best of us.
my brother always says "when one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we stare at the closed door so much that we don't notice the door that was open for us"
we have one life, we shouldn't waste it in regret and pain. live each moment, smile often, when tears roll down, let them flow... and never lose hope. something better will always happen. you just have to have a little faith.
